3-Mercaptopropionic Acid (3-MPA)

It’s widely used in carboxylic acid-based superplasticizers. The main function of is to control molecular weight in the production of polycarboxylate superplasticizers. It is a high-performance regulator, which greatly improves the water-reducing rate and slump retention performance of concrete. 3-Mercaptopropionic acid is superior to other similar products in the polymerization of polycarboxylate superplasticizers. It is the most ideal material to replace mercaptoacetic acid. It is also an intermediate of pharmaceutical fennel and is used as a stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride.
